Prof. Fred Lemke, PhD, MBA, BCom (Hons)

Fred works with leaders and senior professionals who are carrying complexity, pressure, and expectation. His coaching helps clients slow down enough to think clearly, understand what is shaping their decisions, and move from scattered effort to deliberate action.

At the heart of Fred’s work is a simple belief: better leadership starts with better awareness. When leaders understand how pressure, mindset, energy, and assumptions influence their behaviour, they can make stronger choices. They can have better conversations, protect their focus, lead with more presence, and create progress that lasts.

Fred is a certified Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner. This allows him to use the Energy Leadership Index assessment with individuals and groups as a structured way to explore how people respond to stress, opportunity, conflict, and change. The assessment gives clients a practical language for understanding their default patterns and choosing more effective responses.

Alongside his coaching work, Fred brings substantial business and academic depth. He is Professor of Marketing and Sustainability and has worked in consulting and executive education since 2004. His expertise spans customer-centred value creation, B2B relationships, sales and service systems, service-led growth, sustainable market transitions, trust, stakeholder alignment, strategy, innovation, and resilience in supply chains.

Fred has worked with leaders from SMEs to large organisations, including global firms, and has delivered consulting and executive education across Europe, the United States, and New Zealand. Selected engagements include work with organisations such as Bostik, DSM, Hager Group, FrieslandCampina, Barco, Sioen, Televic, SCK CEN, Schneider Form, Inve, Shell Germany, AGC Glass Europe, Nespresso, ABinBev, Sony Deutschland GmbH, and UPS Europe, where confidentiality permits.

When Fred is coaching, he stays firmly in the coaching role. He does not provide ready-made answers or take ownership away from the client. Instead, he works in partnership with clients to strengthen clarity, judgement, ownership, and sustainable action. Where consulting or facilitation is useful, this is handled separately and transparently.
